Reports from the Ghana Statistical Services have shown that Inflation rate has reached 27.6% for May 2022 .

Inflation rate for April 2022 was 23.6% and many Ghanaians did not expect a 4 basic point increase.

In May 2021,the inflation rate was 7.5 percent and the difference over just a year is more than 20percent.

Many analyst have asked government to implement long-term solutions such as developing the manufacturing sector , strengthening the agricultural sector and drastic reduction in the importation of goods and services.

It is believed that the inflation rate will reduce when the right measures are in place.
