A ‘Thief’ As President? Looming Controversies After Hon Kennedy Agyapong Said This Gains Reactions

Kennedy Agyapong has thrown himself into a pit of critics and name calling after making these comments online. For a person who is interested in the seat of government as a president in the next few years or probably even sooner, he should not be making comments that will go against him in the world of propaganda and politics. Kennedy Agyapong during an interview which has gained the attention of many Ghanaians revealed that every politician is a thief if he, the politician is rich. The statement every rich politician is a thief has been said by many people but audience were not expecting to hear this from a politician even though he is very outspoken.

Kennedy Agyapong said this and added that he should be included as well to the list as a thief since he is a politician. Prior to the question from the interviewer which made him admit that he was a politician and hence should he added, he exempted himself by saying he is a businessman. A businessman does not take the role or title of a politician away and this makes him one. The comment has been applauded by people like Kwame A Plus and other popular social media personalities.

However, the contradicting opinions on this suggests that Kennedy should not be given the accolades many people are giving him. If he is interested in becoming a president, then we must be watchful because he has admitted the fact that he is a politician as well and should he added. The sweet talks according to people should not be used to woo the audience. The concerns of many people are that Kennedy is not the only politician who is a businessman and that means any politician who definitely owns a few businesses will say they are not politicians or thieves as Kennedy says because they are businessmen as well. Comments on social media as usual suggests that he should not burden Ghanaians with his intentions of becoming a president if he admits to being a thief.
