We Have Built A Democracy Where There Are No Consequences For Political Leaders Who Do Wrong Things

Fixthecountry Conveynor Oliver Barker-Vormawor has asserted that, Ghana has built a democracy where there is no consequences or repercussions for political leaders who do the wrong thing. His comments follows the vote of no confidence triggered by the U.K Conservative Party against the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson for partying during the COVID-19 lock down era.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Monday 6th June 2022, Oliver wrote;

“The politicians of the UK’s governing Conservative Party will hold a vote of no-confidence in Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday that could remove him as Britain’s leader as well as the head of the Conservative Party, due to breach of COVID-19 rules.”

He added that Ghana have built a democracy where there are no consequences or repercussions for Political leaders who do the wrong thing.

Oliver Baker argued that the Boris Johnson party was held on 18 December 2020 yet the British public didn’t let the issue go. They followed it up until the Prime Minister was investigated twice and fined for it. Now his own party wants to remove him because of it.

He said that he want to remind Ghanaians of what happened to their police complainant against the President for the Sir John Funeral.

Oliver Barker advised that the practice of accountability is not an endeavor you can take for granted. We must all enlist or Ghana can never rise above its station. No one will respect ours laws when those we call “leaders” break it with impunity.
