As we all know, there have been news on a group of Fixthecountry people attempting to have an armed demonstration against the government which later massively went viral on the internet. Many Ghanaians bashed the so called organizers of such demonstration and was even stopped by the police department in Ghana.
A leader of the #fixthecountry movement, Oliver Barker Vormawor has come out clean to clear the air on whether the really planned on doing something like that. Barker has said his team never thought of planning to organize an armed demonstration in this country. He said all they wanted was for a private security to protect the demonstration, not the Police.
“I was at a press conference and people started calling me, saying, we were going to do an armed demonstration. At no point did we say we wanted to do an armed demonstration. He said. He went ahead to say all that they wanted was a private security unit to guide and protect us instead of police and if any weapon is held by them it is going to be licensed by the Arms and Ammunition Decree,” he told Berla Mundi on the New Day show on TV3 Monday June 6.
He made it known clearly they didn’t have any intention of doing that. Do you think he is actually saying the truth or trying to be wise? Thanks, kindly follow me for more updates and share as well.
