A lady has wowed the hearts of people on social media after Forbes ranked her among the under-30 entrepreneurs. Nelly Cheboi was rated among the top 30 in the world, impacting lives in positive ways. The only African that made the list was Mr.
According to her profile on Forbes, Cheboi hires teachers and trains them to run the laboratories in their community in order to be fully equipped to teach students living in dilapidated areas. In a bid to access the laboratories, students pay $10 a month each and she has over 4,000 students.Â
She has more than 100 computer laboratories across the continent she gives all the money she makes to the society. “I was born into poverty. I grew up watching my dear mom work tirelessly to educate my sisters and I. She did all kinds of informal businesses from selling goats to selling vegetables”.Â
She said her plans is to see African students get education, she plans building more than 5000 computer laboratories to empower African youths. Many African students are in her scholarship programming receiving free education. She has 11 free schools across the continent.
She said she came from a poor family and she doesn’t anyone to go through what she went through. After she graduated from USA university on scholarship she came back to Africa to start her technology and empower Africans.
 She noted that her ambition is to enable rural Africans to have the technical skills to easily make money online. Forbes acknowledge her selfless work and honours her with an award, she’s just 29 years old.
African education system is so expensive that families continue to sink into poverty just to educate their kids. Her goals is to build more free schools for Africans and make sure every child gets education without any hindrance. Â
