Honourable Kwame Agbozda, a member of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) and a gentleman serving the people of Adaklu, as a lawmaker has made allegations of the said Covid-19 funds that the current government is refusing to account for.
The lawmaker has allegedly opened up on the issue saying that the current government led by the NPP used the COVID-19 proceeds for the 2020 general elections in the country.
Hon. Kwame mentioned this to Tv3’s Newday host, Johnnie Hughes.
He’s known to have said,” I saw it in Adaklu, [NPP] were distributing the money,” he stressed.
The member of Parliament continued, “The money was not meant for businesses they were meant for the NPP to chop,” he stressed.
He retorted the essence of the president agreeing to allow auditors probing what the Covid-19 funds were used for.
The lawmaker attributed this to the earlier questions raised by the former president, John Dramani Mahama who mentioned that the Covid-19 fund has been used by the government led by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
