Hon Sam George Clears The Air On His ‘Beef’ With Sister Derby

As many Ghanaians can remember, the Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Sam Nartey George clashed with the Ghanaian artist, Deborah Vanessa Owusu-Bonsu, popularly known on stage as Sister Deborah on Twitter. This happened when the two prominent Ghanaians were sharing their views on LGBTQ+.

Hon. Sam Nartey George has recently been captured with the Ghanaian media personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay in an interview. Delay asked Hon. Sam George why is called honorable but decided to throw shades and argue with Sister Derby on Twitter. He answered and said that Sister Deborah tweeted about five comments that were insults to him, however, he doesn’t think his statement about Medikal was an insult to Sister Deborah.

According to Hon Sam George, he was just sharing wisdom with Sister Deborah and other celebrities who were beating about the bush on the LGBTQ+ issues. Delay then asked him why he as an MP has decided to be shading Ghanaian celebrities on Twitter and why he reply tweets in the first place. Hon Sam George said that the reason why he has been replying to tweets is that he doesn’t consider himself as an MP who is superior to the voters.

According to him, some MPs consider themselves superior and just tweet without replying to comments from their constituents but not in his case. Hon Sam George said that he was in the same hall with Sister Deborah at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and knew her personally. Sam George said that those who know him from KNUST will appreciate what he tweeted about Sister Deborah on that day.
