No local based player in the Black Stars squad as several players are dropped from the squad.

A total of eight(8) players have been dropped fro m the previous list as the team took off to Angola to face the Central African Republic in their second game of the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON.

Ghana Premier League duo, Afriyie Barnieh and Augustine Okrah have been dropped from the squad. Both players will join their teammates back at their various clubs to complete the league campaign. None of these players played a single minute of the first game raising eyebrows of Ghanaians as to why the technical handlers invites local players but don’t give them any playing time.

Joseph Aidoo will take no part once again as he is not declared fit after picking up an ankle injury before the game against Madagascar.

Bristol City striker, Antoine Semenyo was also not with the traveling contingent. It is reported he has been given time to go back to his club and sort out deals and his future.

Richard Ofori, Christopher Antwi Adjei, Braydon Manu and Yaw Yeboah all did not travel with the team. Reasons for dropping several of these players are not yet known.

The team will travel to Japan for a four nation tournament after this match.
