The Coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars of Ghana, has reacted to the performance of the goalkeeper of the Madagascar, stating that “he had an excellent day”.
Madagascar was Ghana’s first opponent in the first AFCON 2023 qualifiers played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. Coach Otto Addo who was responding to aftermath questions on the choice of players he used to start the game against Madagascar made know that all his men he used on the day deserve to be on the pitch as the gave a good impression of themselves during training sessions.
Particularly, on why he started with Jordan Ayew he noted that “the players who started against Madagascar deserved to do so, Jordan Ayew”. According to him Jordan did well during training sessions and also performed very of the day day just that the goalkeeper of Madagascar had an excellent day as was able to debt him some goals. He stated “Jordan had good training sessions and he created some chances [during the game]. He himself had some chances; the Madagascar goalkeeper had an excellent day.”
The goalkeeper of Madagascar indeed had a brilliant first half with some excellent saves that denied the black stars the chance to score in the first half.
