Summer Transfers done deals: Man Utd, Barcelona, Chelsea yet to announce first signing of the window

The transfer window has been busy for many clubs across europe. It is a world cup year and many players would want to have more playing time come next season to stay in form proud to the FIFA world cup.

Today we look at some shortlisted teams and how they are doing in the transfer market so far.

CHELSEA

Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market this summer but is yet to announce their first signing of the window. The club has been in contact with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele and Declan Rice but the west Londoner’s are yet to finalise a deal with any of these clients.

Thomas Tuchel has made it clear to the public about his rebuilding plan’s and is financially backed by new club owner Todd Boehly.

LIVERPOOL

Jurgen Klopp has the core of his team in contact. The future of Sadio Mane at Liverpool is not certain and he has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich but Liverpool has an alternative in Diogo Jota who score 15 goals Last season. Liverpool has an aging midfield but the reds have found an alternative in a young Portuguese midfielder Fabio Carvalho.

Carvalho was signed from Fulham for a fee of £7.7m after he help Fulham gain promotion back to the premier League.

MANCHESTER CITY

Man city have signed Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £51.5m.

Man city believes that with Erling Haaland inclusion, they can challenge for the UEFA champions league next season.

Japanese defender Ko Itakura who spent last season on loan at Schalke in the second bundesliga is also back after his loan spell ended

Portuguese defender Pedro Porro is also joining sporting Lisbon for a fee of £7.2m

MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United have been very busy in the transfer window.

Lack of of champions league football next season has make it difficult for the red devils to get their targeted players in the market.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edison Cavani and Juan Mata has been released by Man united.

New coach Erik Ten Hag is said to start a new era at united and he will need some additions to start this new project.

Man united has identify Barca’s Franke de Jong as the possible replacement for Paul Pogba but his asking price is what is keeping united waiting.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS

From mid table team to champions league football, Antonio Conte is eager to strengthen his team for next season campaigns.

Croatian Winger Ivan Perisic has join Spur’s from inter on a free transfer. The 33-year-old brings variety in attack.

Spur’s are also in talks with Juventus for American midfielder Weston Mckennie. Reports suggests that the two parties have agree terms for a possible transfer but Juve will have to wait to seal Paul Pogba deal first before the can allow Mckennie to move.

REAL MADRID

Real Madrid have strengthen their defence with the signing of Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer after Chelsea failed to reach contract terms with the German.

Rudiger has sign four-year-deal with the Spanish giant.

Real Madrid are looking forward to add few additions to beef up their squad.

Gareth Bale, Isco and Marcelo have been released from the club after their contracts with Madrid expired.

BARCELONA

Phillipe Coutinho is the only player who have been transferred out for a fee of £17.2m to Aston Villa. The blaugrana’s are looking forward to transfer some few more out to balance their books before they can make any incoming deals.

The likes of Robert Lewandowski, Andres Christensen, Marcos Alonso, Frank Kessie and Cesar Azpelicueta, all are knocking at at their door but Barca would have to sell some players to cut their wage bill down before they can announce any one of these players.

French defender Clement Lenglet has agree to leave Barca this summer. He will be joining Tottenham Hotspur on a two season loan deal on the coming days.

Whiles Real Madrid, Man city, Liverpool, Tottenham and the likes are making progress in the transfer market, Chelsea, Barca and Man united are yet to announce their first signing of the window.
