Ghana Is Tough Under Akufo Addo, It’s The Grace Of God Carrying Us Through- Guru

Guru has slammed the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the depth of hopelessness shrouding their administration which has deteriorated the living condition of the average citizen.

While in the studios of 3FM, the rapper and former serial hitmaker said things are so bad that it’s the grace of God that carry some people through this torrid moment. He also noted that the increase in prices of goods and services is proportionate to the minimum wage which is also a factor in the worsening plights of Ghanaians.

“The cost of living is very high. People are living above their means but the salaries remain the same,” the Ghanaian rapper said. Raising the above points, Guru concludes that he will not mark the Akuffo-Addo-led government above 50% if he was to score their performance.

“In their first 4 years, I scored them 60% but they will not get above 50% if I am to score them this time,” he bluntly told Giovani.

In other showbiz news, rapper Captain Planet has revealed how he and other local artistes were sacked like goats from backstage to make way for superstar Jay Z to perform back in 2016.

The American rapper who was then in his prime (he still remains an iconic figure in Hiphop) 14-years ago headlined a major concert in Accra which was held at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The concert was very successful and while shrouded in nostalgia, Ghanaian Twitter influencer Kaly Jay shared a throwback video of Jay Z’s performance in a recent post online.

As soon as Planet saw the post, he hit the comment section to reveal how he and other GH artistes who were then dominating the mainstream were asked to leave for Jay Z to monopolise the concert as the headliner that he was.
