Common Dressing Mistakes Men Do

Men often make common dressing mistakes which can lead to them looking sloppy, unprofessional and even worse.

On the other hand, a well dressed man looks sharp, presentable and professional.

It’s important to state that the opposite sex are good admires of good looking men.

In order to avoid looking sloppy and unprofessional, it is paramount to take note of some dressing mistakes men commonly do.

Below are five of the most common male clothing mistakes that you should avoid:

 1. Not wearing a belt-

Dressing with your belt on does not only make you look good, but it also adds stability to your pants and helps keep everything in place. It is especially important when you wear a sports coat or other formal attire.

2. Wearing the wrong color-

Putting on the wrong colour can make you look awful. Unless you want people to call attention to how mismatched your clothes are. It is important to stick with colors that go well together. For example, don’t rock a bright orange shirt with black slacks rather, choose something more complementary like brown or gray instead.

3. Wearing oversized outfit

Your body size has a lot to play with when it comes to dressing. If you are on the larger side, it is important to choose clothing that will allow you to hide your body rather than accentuate it. For clothing that hangs loosely on the body, choose tighter-fitting items in neutral colors.

4. Inability to dress for the occasion

It is always important to dress for the occasion. You can look very odd on an occasion just because of your dressing. When dressing for work, choose slacks and a button-up shirt. When dressing for a party, choose something more casual such as ripped jeans, a T-shirt, and flip-flops. When dressing for a formal event, choose a suit and tie.

5. Mismatched suit and tie

Most men are victims of mismatched suit and tie as they often combine the wrong colour and size of tie with suit. Some are also victims of poor inner shirt colour with suit. Suit and tie make you look formal and therefore it’s important to make sure there is a proper blend of colours.

Make sure your dressing doesn’t disgrace you in public.
