Check Out The Date For 2022 Teacher Transfer /Reposting Window

Last year, in May, the Ghana Education Service opened the transfer or reposting window for eligible applicants to apply for release or transfer. Scores of teachers who applied were denied reposting, whereas a huge number came out successfully.

There is currently no such information concerning the date for the opening of the 2022 teacher reposting as I speak, however, in this article, I will share with you what is happening behind the scene and give you a piece of advice thereof.

Bricy Boateng has monitored and gathered some useful information about the date for this year’s transfer window. Unfortunately, there are some information that you will not come across online unless you make the necessary calls to the right persons in the Education office.

Some Districts thrive on teachers’ lack of knowledge of the transfer process purposefully to retain them in their districts,, especially the districts in the remote areas of Ghana. I have been a victim of that,, so I know what I am saying.

They will not notify their teachers at the right time, but once you visit the office, they are swift to tell you that it is late. Giving the impression that you are the cause of that.

To avoid the confusion, frustrations, and the hurdle, this is the information I gathered: In my conversation with one or two officers at the Ghana Education Service from separate regions, the transfer window is predicted to be opened on August 2022. But, surprisingly, one officer disclosed to me that some teachers seeking for reposting have started the process or at least made their intention known to the district by way of letter.

To explain further, some teachers seeking release into other regions have written to their respective Education Directorate for a recommendation letter. The recommendation letter, otherwise known as confidential letter, would be used to secure an assurance in the region of interest to the teacher. To this end, I would advise any teacher seeking reposting to :

First. Inquire from your Education officer for assistance.

Second. Start the process as soon as possible and get all the required documents available.

Third. After getting your letter of recommendation, you can attach it to your letter to seek release in the region of interest. It if happens that the window hasn’t been opened. Your letter would be kept at the office until the time is due. This is for those seeking release.

Fourth. You need to make a friend at the education office if you haven’t gotten any yet. Once a while, call him/her to make inquiries.

Fifth. Share this information to notify others.
