The World Cup qualifiers return game between Nigeria and Ghana brought massive tension at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

Ghana against Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti Region ended goalless as both countries needed a win in the second leg to qualify for the 2022 World Cup competition.

Thomas Partey, who captained the Black Stars team in both games scored a brilliant goal to put Ghana in the lead at Abuja.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria fought back and equalized from a penalty kick spot to make the scores 1-1.

Nigeria tried every means to win the game but it ended in disappointment as Ghana qualified with away goal.

Ghana supporters were moved from the stands to a safer place. All this while the players were also safe.

In a video shared by Nana Aba Anamoah on Twitter, Black Stars deputy captain, Thomas Partey has recounted how he excaped from the pitch to the dressing room on that very day.

According to Thomas Partey, he was already in the dressing room when the incident happened.

He added that he watched the chaos on television.
