“Asante Kotoko Have Not Been Given Enough Competition” – Ex-Black Stars Winger

Ex-Ghana winger, Yaw Preko says the other Premier League clubs have not given Kotoko much competition in the 2021/22 league campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors are top of the league table with 59 points, with just a point needed to claim the trophy for the first time in eight seasons. Yaw Preko spoke on Gold TalkSport on Radio Gold 90.5fm in Accra.

“Kotoko started very well but it was unfortunate latter part of the season, the other other clubs we didn’t give them enough competition. “Because after Kotoko losing a couple of games, drawing couple of games, it should have been the time for other clubs to catch up especially Bechem United. “But when Kotoko were losing they [Bechem United] were also drawing.

“Unfortunate we thought Medeama could also give them [Kotoko] another run and they lost to Kotoko. “So it’s Kotoko’s to lose [league title] so I think we have to say kudos to them if they win it because they deserve, they started very well. “But we the other clubs, we should have done better.” Yaw Preko told Gold TalkSport on Radio Gold. Kotoko have four games to wrap up the season with an outstanding against AshantiGold to be cleared on Thursday.
