A sum of 470 prepared lifeguards have dropped at the Eastern Naval Base in Tema New Town of the Greater Accra Region.
The prepared lifeguards, attracted from around nine areas the nation, the two guys and females will be conveyed to save lives on Ghana’s water bodies.
The Basic Water Safety and Life Guard Training Course were made conceivable under the Volta Lake Transport Safety Project (VLTSP), a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between the Ministry of Transport and Ecozoil, an auxiliary of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC).
The course was embraced in two sections with the initial segment beginning on February 11, this year, which went on for a considerable length of time.
In a welcome location, the Flight Officer Commanding the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), Commodore Emmanuel Ayensu Kwafo, while complimenting the authority of the Leadership Training School, ENC lauded the learners for their perseverance.

Lifeguard Operative, Prosper Kofi Abochie, was declared the Overall Best Trainee, and got a Special Certificate of Commendation.
