Bono Region: Update On Abronye’s Chairmanship Election Which Is Happening Today.

Live from the Bono Regional capital Sunyani, this is an update regarding today’s Bono Regional NPP elections featuring the incumbent Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye. This exercise is happening today at the pastoral centre in Sunyani. As usual, speeches from sitting Regional executives Kwame Baffoe Abronye has been delivered.

According to the reports, all the three Constituencies namely Jaman South, Dormaa Central and Sunyani East who were injunctioned by the court not to vote in the ongoing elections are are present at the voting grounds.

According to them, although they have been on court’s injunction, they will still vote and face the wrath or consequences of the court. Notwithstanding, the Electoral Commission of Ghana is yet to call any of them to vote. This is because, the Electoral Commission was also served with the injunction notice.

Some delegates are also on standby to physically stop any delegate from the three injunction affected Constituencies from voting.

It appears that, if the Electoral Commission refuse to invite them ( injunction Constituencies) to vote, they will raise red flags. If they are invited too, opposition will never allow. The fate of the election is currently in the hands of the Ghana Police Service to maintain the peace.

Kwame Baffoe Abronye is keenly contested by Konlaabig Rasheed who was the Bono Regional Organiser.
