“I Will Break Your Leg If You Keep Dribbling Me.”-Former Black Stars Winger Shares Unkind Encounter.

Charles Taylor, former Black Stars winger has come out to share his unfriendly encounter with the former Super Eagles defender, Taribo West. He was in his prime at the time, he had led Accra Hearts of Oak to win the CAF Champions League and was also playing against Nigeria in the 2002 FIFA World Cup Qualifications.

According to Charles Taylor, he was approached by some Nigerians and told to tone down his dribbling or else he will end up on a stretcher. He said he was amazed when he saw stars like Jay Okocha on the field. We (Accra Hearts of Oak Players) were surprised when they said we were the ones going to face Nigeria and Baffuor Gyan was the only foreign player to join us. He said he overcame his fear on meeting such players when he saw that the Nigerians were rather afraid of him.

He said Taribo West came to him and asked for which team he played for in Europe and upon telling him he played Accra Hearts of Oak he threatened to break his leg but Osei Kuffuor stepped him and told he not to fear as he could not do anything to him.
