Accra Great Olympics gaffer coach Annor Walker says he was not happy when Awako decided to leave the club to join city rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
According to him, he hold a lot of talks with the star player just to convince him to stay at Accra Great Olympics.
He explained that, in the Black Stars B camp, he always get close to the star player to talk to him to stay with Accra Great Olympics.
However, when asked about whether he has missed the star player, the experience gaffer said he can’t lie because he has really missed the star player.
” I didn’t want Awako to leave Olympics to Hearts of Oak because I Wanted him to stay with Accra great Olympics” he said.
” I remember in Black Stars B camp we hold a lot of conversation just to make him stay but his mind was with the Phobians,” he told Class FM in an interview.
Awako this season performance has not been impressive enough for the Phobians but is very confident to get things going next season.
