Ben Ephson remains one of the most trusted pollster in the history of Ghana. He was interviewed via zoom on ‘TV3’S Midday LIVE’ ahead of the Regional Elections in the Ashanti and Eastern Regions of Ghana.

Many Ghanaians have tipped the Ashanti Region’s influential Chairman Wontumi to easily retain his seat but Ben Ephson seems to have a different opinion when TV3 Journalist Noble called him for his assessment on the NPP Regional Elections.

Ben Ephson explained that in any Ghanaian Presidential Elections, aspirants will have problems when their core voters do not turn up to vote and so in 2024 , a third of voters who are not core would help decide the elections in the Presidential elections.

The pollster added that for the NPP Flagbearership race , any one who does not have supporters by now should forget about investing his time and efforts in running for that position.

On how the 2020 presidential elections was won, he explained that Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo won the elections in 2020 primarily because the free senior high school policy was a convincing one to the electorates.

Mr. Ben Ephson also mentioned that he would be surprised if the current chairman of Ashanti Region NPP Chairman Wontumi wins the Regional Elections.

When the Journalist asked if money will play a role in deciding the outcome in the Ashanti Region, Ben Ephson was affirmative in the fact that any one who pays biggest will win but Wontumi can only win by a ‘leg and half’ due to how the Ashanti Region electorates have decided to vote against him.

Many Ghanaians love Chairman Wontumi but it seems Ben Ephson has consistently remained pessimistic about the chances of the politician except that he thinks Wontumi could push through with his money but not his policies.
