Chairman Wontumi, Agorhom Re-Elected….Jeff Konadu Secures E/R Chairmanship | Politics

Incumbent Ashanti Region Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has retained his seat.

He polled 464 votes while his contender, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) had 306.

1. BERNARD ANTWI BOASIAKO ( INCUMBENT) – 464

2. ASARE BEDIAKO – 20

3. ODENEHO KWAKU APPIAH -306

4. OWUSU ADUOMI – 9

5. OHENEBA KOFI ADUM BAWUAH – 3

Meanwhile, Divine Otoo Agorhom, the incumbent Greater Accra Region Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has also been re-elected. 

He beat his closest contender Alfred Boye with six votes; amassing 332 votes out of the total vote cast while Boye had 326.

This is the second time Mr Otoom Agorhom has won the seat. In the last election, the incumbent won the seat against Alfred Boye with 7 votes.

1. ALFRED BOYE – 326 49.45 per cent
2. DIVINE AGORHOM – 332- 50.45 per cent

In the Eastern Region, Jeff Konadu emerged victorious in the chairmanship race.

He defeated Kwadwo Boateng Agyeman who is allegedly backed by the Jubilee House by over 200 votes.
