The wail and cries of Ghanaians to get local players who play in the top-flight league of the nation to play for the Black Stars have gone a long way and whenever a player is called, the obvious story is that these players don’t get the chance to play for the nation.
It has become a concern for lovers of the game to have raised concerns about why this very act is recurring.
Don Bortey got the advantage to represent the nation during his time and he is in the best position to advise the Football Association.
Bernard Don Bortey has this advice for the gaffer of the team.
” Don’t just invite local players, give them the chance to play. It has been a norm in Ghana where local players are invited to the senior national team and only sit on the bench during games. Barnier has the capabilities to start for the Black Stars”.
