It Is Not True; I Am Not Giving 2,000 Cedis To Ghanaians As Grants – John Mahama Serves Notice

The former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has served a notice to Ghanaians to disregard any post on social media which says he will give grants to Ghanaians who apply for it.

In his recent Facebook post, John Mahama revealed that some persons have used his picture on some websites trying to scam Ghanaians that John Mahama is willing to give an amount of ¢2,000 to Ghanaians who apply for it.

“The public is hereby informed to ignore a message/ advertisement circulating with the image of former President John Dramani Mahama and announcing the distribution of a Grant to applicants: – MAHAMA 2,000 Ghc GRANTS FOR GHANIANS. This is false and intended to defraud unsuspecting Ghanaians. Please ignore any such message, and do not false victim to fraudsters” he said.

This is the second time in few weeks where some persons have used the name of John Mahama and his family to scam people online. Some persons used the name of John Mahama’s daughter to scam some persons on Twitter.
