Agona West MP commissions Ultra-modern KG School at Edukrom

Agona Edukrom C/R, May 23, GNA- Mrs Cynthia Mamle Morrison, the Member of Parliament MP for Agona West has commissioned an ultra-modern kindergarten school building at Agona Edukrom to facilitate development of early childhood education in the area.

The project comprising a playground, kitchen, office, store and toilet, was financed by Coastal Development Authority (CODA).
Mrs Morrison in a short address, said the government was committed to completing all ongoing educational projects, before new ones will be started.
She said the head teacher of the school and chiefs of the town made a request for a new facility to help improve enrolment of kids in and around the town.
The MP disclosed that the Government would continue to invest in the sector to help aid human development and assured the chiefs and the people of Edukrom that she would continue to lobby for more developmental projects to help improve their living standards.
She urged the parents to enrol their children at the facility to enable them undertake their businesses including farming without hindrances to ensure their wellbeing.
She called on the chiefs and people in the Agona West constituency to rally behind the government to undertake more development projects for them.
She gave assurance that the government was doing everything possible within its capability to address the economic issues to reduce the hardship.
Mr Evans Addison Onomah Coleman, Agona West Municipal Chief Executive said the assembly was collaborating with the central government to provide basic infrastructure for basic schools in the Municipality.
The assembly he noted, had recently distrusted furniture and other teaching materials to primary, JHS and Senior High Schools to facilitate effective teaching and learning in the area.
Mr Bismark Ofei, Agona West Municipal Director of Education urged the teachers and pupils to take good care of the facility and ensure the culture of maintenance to prolong it life span.
He called on the teachers and heads of schools to avoid absenteeism and other practices that would militate against progression of teaching and learning.
