The Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has been “extremely wasteful” – Edudzi Tamakloe

The government is broke and that is the bottom line. The Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has been extremely wasteful in looking at the financial envelope available to the nation. Today, the Ghana buffer stock, the school feeding secretariat among other stores that the state owes financial obligations is also broke.

No amount of speed can change this fact. When you interrogate the number, it becomes very frustrating dealing with the issues. With galloping inflation and others, how can we still think school-feeding caterers can do magic and cook a very good nutritious meal for our kids.

I have listened to some of the women and one of them said she used to buy cooking oil at 70ghc and now she’s buying it at almost 230ghc. One also said a bag of rice was 150ghc and now, she almost bought it at 600ghc.

Unfortunately, no one is doing a quality food assurance check given to these kids. The funds that were made have been dissipated to win an election. We are back to the point where the whole country is going down because of a lack of money.

I know people who through the Ghana buffer store haven’t been paid. Some now had to go for credit from banks. In the name of God almighty, how can you feed a child with 0.97 pesewas? As I’m talking now, you won’t even get porridge with 1 ghana cedi.

These were the words of Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe. Have you experienced any of his words? How much do you buy your porridge? How do you also see the NPP government?
