The race to the NPP flagbearer race is heating up. The battle for who represents the party in the 2024 elections will come off next year and already strong heads are showing up to contest in the elections. Though many feel the race will be decided between Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Trade Minister, Alan Kyerematen, it is important not to write off other competitors.
For the past 1 week Kennedy Agyapong has showed up as one of those ready to contest to lead the party. There had been rumors that the Assin Central law maker will contest and this has been confirmed with various bill supporting this. Interestingly, though Kennedy’s chances are slim, he might be the king maker in deciding who finally leads. Daddy Fred, an NPP journalist with the Announcer Newspaper was one of the first to break the news of Kennedy contesting.
Since then, Daddy Fred has raised questions as to whether Kennedy has the capability to lead the party. In a new post he made on his wall he put up the caption on letting the business man lead according to a latest poster depicting same caption for the NPP business moguls. Many have reacted to this with some questioning Kennedy’s credibility, leadership skills and temperament. Others also feel like Trump of the United States; he won’t do much. Check out the reactions.
