Communique To Teachers On Lesson Note Preparation

Following the re-openining of basic schools (Primary and JHS), lesson notes preparation by teachers is still mandatory. However the Management of GES has released a communique on lesson note preparation.

The communique reads;

Notice to All Facilitators _ TM1

There has already been a communique that lesson needs evidence of preparation.For this reason, teachers must continue to prepare and submit lessons.However, the submission of the prepared lessons can be submitted electronically or manually. The means of submission should be an agreement between the superior and the inferior. Thank you.”

The communique seems to clear doubt on lesson notes and it’s preparation. Some JHS teachers have received their TM1 laptops and may decide to prepare their lesson notes as a soft copy if agreed by the district directorate or the head teacher.

However, for teachers at the primary school level who are yet to recieve their laptops, the manual lesson notes (writing in lesson notebooks) still continues.

Although many teachers are of the view that manual lesson notes should be replaced by electronic ones, the delay in distributing laptops to all teachers have altered the above suggestion.
