Legon Cities players abandon training due to salary arrears owed them.

Legon Cities FC brought their training activities during the week to an abrupt end after players boycotted the session due to money issues. They are still being owed 2 months’ salary arrears. It was 3 months arrears but the club managed to clear a month after their impressive win over Asante Kotoko in Kumasi. The club is yet to settle the remaining 2 months and other benefits due them. It is in light of these developments that made the players boycott training during the week.

On Thursday, the coaches and other technical team members were all present at the training grounds. But they had to wait for long periods, without the playing body showing up. They had to drive back to their various homes after the session couldn’t come on. Lemon Cities have been in decent form in recent weeks. They have racked up some impressive wins the one over Asante Kotoko pushing them into the top half of the table. They will be hosting Dreams FC in their next league encounter at the El Wak sports stadium.
