We did not start the season well but we will end well – Samuel Boadu.

The head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak is motivating his team to finish the season well after a poor start. As defending champions, much more was expected from them but it has not been so. Their inconsistency has cost them the chance to defend the title they won last season. They have been very wasteful in front of goals. They haven’t been inspiring especially at home losing valuable points they should have won easily.

Despite their poor start, they have managed to recover in a way climbing up the table steadily to the 3rd position on the league table. The league title is out of their reach now though mathematically possible. The best they can aim for now is a top 4 finish. “It is quite unfortunate we didn’t start the season well. Getting to the end we are hoping things will get better. We are playing match after match and preparing for the next game. At the end of the season we will be in a better position” he told StarTimes.

The phobians will host Bibiani Gold Stars in their next league encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
