It was an interesting conversation as a former CEO of the Ghana Free Zones clashed with Okoe Boye, the current CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority. The two alongside the host looked at the upcoming tariff increases. According to Okoe Boye, the NDC are only talking today because they feel this is the right time to hit at the government.
Okoe Boye explained that it is not easy being in leadership and so the nation plus the NDC should tone down on their attacks. He cited a number of reasons that is affecting the country and noted that these reasons are also causing inflation to soar up.
Kojo Twum Boafo however didn’t take things likely as he wondered if the NPP didn’t see this when they were critiquing the erstwhile NDC government. He noted that Vice President Bawumia is like a joker or puppet whose goes about making promises which he fails to keep. According to Kojo, like a puppet whose strings are pulled to deliver an effect Bawumia is being maneuvered to clear the mess the government creates.
This referral of Bawumia as a joker didn’t go down too well with Okoe Boye who called for a retraction. The host then called on Kojo Twum to retract but he first explained that Bawumia is the father of name calling. He averred that Bawumia has ended up giving names to the NDC hierarchy and yet no one has asked him to retract. After much persuasions from the host, Kojo retracted his statement but called on Ghanaians to decide if he was right or wrong.
