Head coach of Ghana’s U-20 team, Karim Zito has attributed harsh weather conditions to their defeat to Nigeria.
The Black Satellites’ title defence suffered a jolt when West Africa rivals, Nigeria inflicted a 2-0 loss on them in the opening WAFU ZONE B Group B tournament. Karim Zito says his squad was affected by harsh weather conditions.
“There are some factors that affect performance and one of them is the weather. “When you look at the atmosphere here and look what is happening in Ghana, here is hell. “That is why I recommended that we come early for you to acquire the necessary energy to do what which we didn’t do. “So now the preparation is after this match against Burkina Faso. “And Burkina will play anyway but that will be our preparation. “So now as I said, we are going to use the next game to make amends.
“We have adapted to the weather.” Karim Zito said at a post match press conference. Ghana must now redeem their image against Burkina Faso in the second game to stand a chance of qualifying for the next stage.
