The Methodist Bishop Wouldn’t Have Been in Trouble If He Recommended The E-levy – Kwesi Pratt

The Managing Editor at the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt has finally reacted to the hot comments against John Dramani Mahama from the Methodist Bishop named Bosomtwe Ayensu.

According to Kwesi Pratt, partisan politics is prohibited for Chiefs in Ghana because if they involve themselves in it, there will be divisions among the people of the land and that is why the 1992 constitution of Ghana strictly desists them from it.

Kwesi Pratt said Bosomtwe Ayensu was supposed to have that idea for the sake of his church members because not all of them belong to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Kwesi Pratt also said Bosomtwe Ayensu could have recommended the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) as a good tax that will bring development in Ghana which he wouldn’t have landed himself in big trouble but for him going to the extreme of making a declaration has become a problem on his head.

Kwesi Pratt disclosed this at Peace 104.3 FM.
