Ex-Ghana international, Odartey Lamptey has called for calm ahead of the nation’s U-20 second WAFU ZONE B game against Burkina Faso.
The Black Satellites play their West African neighbors in the second game after falling 2-0 to Nigeria in the opening game. Ghana as defending champions are now faced with a must win situation to qualify from group B and Odartey Lamptey wants coach Karim Zito given the benefit of the doubt.
“Ghana I don’t think we lack talents, we have it in abundance, the talent is here. “Maybe as I said due to the weather as the coach said though he has been with the team for some time now, he knew their performance and knows how they played. “So maybe they did not play like they used to play maybe due to the weather.
“Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, our next match against Burkina Faso. “If it happens the same way, then we will have question mark but it exactly what he said because of the weather.” Odartey Lamptey told Radio Gold sports.
