The National Communication Team Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Adotey Allotey in an interview with the host of “Me Man Nti”, Maame Biamah said the members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in support of the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) are now suffering after the implementation.
Emmanuel Adotey Allotey claims he does not understand the Supreme Court coming out to publicize that, stopping the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) will create hardships in Ghana whiles Ghanaians are already in hardships and the E-levy is only increasing the hardships.
New Patriotic Party Government want to improve the economy with the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) whiles the previous taxes they collected for the past six (6) years have not improved the economy, Emmanuel Adotey Allotey said that four billion Ghana Cedis (GH¢4B) of the E-levy can do nothing in the economy since it has been reviewed.
Emmanuel Adotey Allotey disclosed this at Neat FM on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
