The NPP Constituency Secretary in Fomena, Mr. Kofi Osei Mensah has dropped a key revelation about the upcoming primaries elections in Fomena to elect a parliamentary candidate for the party.
Speaking on Neat Fm this morning, Mr. Kofi Osei Mensah revealed that NPP top national executives have urged all delegates and executives in Fomena NPP constituency to allow Honorable Andrew Amoako Asiamah to go unopposed for the party in 2024.
According to him, the party executives revealed that Honorable Andrew Amoako Asiamah has done a lot for the party and for that matter, this must be his reward. He added that Andrew Amoako Asiamah favored NPP in several debates and arguments and even joined the majority caucus even though he was an independent candidate.
Kofi Osei Mensah, who is the secretary for the constituency reveals that he does not have any problem by the request of the national executives. His main concern is how persons who leave the party to form their own Independence party would be punished. He added that national executives failed to give them an assurance to this effect.

It could be recalled that there was a disagreement between Honorable Andrew Amoako Asiamah and the Fomena constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives. He therefore did not contest the NPP primary to select a candidate but contested the general election as an independent candidate and won.
