Manhyia Hospital Leaves Patient On Her Fate To Die For Speaking To Journalist

A Seriously ill health patient, Madam Lucy Duah has been left to die at the Manhyia District Hospital in the Ashanti Region.

The Doctor on duty and nurses refused to attending to this woman after he spoke to Journalist.

FILASCONEWS.COM earlier this week, Monday, May 2, 2022, published a story where a man, Sulemana Hudu, lost his wife at the same facility after nurses on duty abandoned their posts for their private jobs and otherwise.

The Investigative Journalist, Isaac Foster Nsiah, who brought the story to light said on a Kumasi Based Radio Station, Silver FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show on Monday that, his checks at the facility, before and after the unfortunate incident, proved that, health officers are not treating patients fairly.

On the show, the other patient in question, Madam Lucy Duah, also shared her ordeal at the facility.

The woman returned to the hospital for treatment and the hospital has rejected her to her fate for speaking to the facts with journalists.

It also took the intervention of the Investigative Journalist, Nsiah Foster and a sister of the patient, to rush her to a different Hospital, Abrafi Hospital at Dichemso.

Sadly, they transported her in “Pragya” in the presence of the Manhyia doctor and nurses. They uttered no word.

“Oh my God, why waited so long before bringing her to the hospital”, the doctor at the Abrafi Hospital was quoted to have said by the Journalist.

“If you should have waited for at least 30mins, you sister would be dead by now”, the new doctor added.

The woman is Currently receiving treatment at Abrafi Hospital.
