Sam George Reveals A Big Secret; Says We Should Never Mistaken President Mahama For Akuffo-Addo.

Today’s discussion on the Good Morning Ghana was feisty as it witnessed the member of parliament representing the people of Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, and the Former Deputy Minister of Health, who is now the CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye. Along the discussion, Sam Nartey George, popularly known as “Gyata”, made a bold statement.

Before his bold statement, Sam George revealed a substantial secret which involves Former President Mahama’s promise of the abolition of the communications service tax(CST). According to Sam George, Former President Mahama said to the then Speaker of Parliament that, he thinks the tax will roll back the progress made in terms of the rapid internet penetration that has taken place in the country over the past years. “Mr. Speaker, with the addition of this tax, Ghana will join the group of countries that will have the highest tax on airtime in Africa such as Zimbabwe; that is if we add the proposed 8% to current 15%, it will take us to 23%”.

He later moved on and challenged Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye and other Government communicators to show him videos which proves that Former President Mahama said he was going to repeal the communications service tax. Interestingly, Sam George said Ghanaians should not mistaken President Mahama for President Akuffo-Addo. As maintained by him, they are two different people with different characters. Sequentially, Sam George said Ghanaians can trust one and with the other, Ghanaians cannot trust.
