Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
Jehovah Jireh means the Lord will provide. God instructed Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac which he obeyed. He set out with his son carrying the wood on his back to the land of Moriah. After building an altar there, Isaac asked “Where is the lamb for the sacrifice”, Abraham said God will provide.
Abraham bound his son and laid him on the altar and he pulled out his knife and just when he was about to strike him, he heard the voice of the angel of the Lord calling out to him not to lay his hand upon the lad(Genesis 22:12). Abraham looked and behold a lamb was caught in the thicket. He went over and took the lamb and sacrificed it as burnt offering instead of His son Isaac so Abraham called that place “Jehovahjireh which means that The Lord Will Provide”(Genesis 22:14).
Psalms 145:2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
●Oh Heavenly Father when we were dead in our sins and trespasses, you provided your only begotten Son Jesus to save us. Jesus is the best provision You have made for man. By His blood we are saved from sin, sickness, poverty and death. In Him all our needs are fully met. Halleluyah! Oh we will praise you forever Jehovah Jireh! We pour out our hearts to you in thanksgiving. We bow before your presence in heartfelt adoration.
LET EVERY MAN SHOUT HALLELUYAH! LET EVERY MAN PRAISE JEHOVAH JIREH!
