Don’t Bring Him To Your Political Show Again – Ghanaians Tell TV3

There was a plethora of coordinated attacks at TV3 yesterday during their New D`ay morning show. TV3 has a huge audience but hardly do we see The Big Issues section of the New day show getting more than 1000 comments. Well, yesterday, the comments streamed in just because of a panelist that was brought in that many felt was partisan.

Yesterday, Johnnie Hughes was joined by Kwabena Bomfe also called Kabila, the editor of the National Forum. Kwabena normally introduces himself as a neutral and is often made to banter with an NDC and NPP panelist. Unfortunately, yesterday he was the only panelist on the show. Johnnie queried him about whether press freedom had come down. Interestingly, Kwabena Bomfe denied any form of press censorship. He noted that the Akufo-Addo regime has seen the best of press tolerance.

Kwabena Bomfe also queried the rationale and methodology used by the ranking agency that placed Ghana at 60th position. According to him there is press censorship and irregularities in the United States and yet the agency didn’t see this but chose to rank Ghana low. These comments however didn’t go down well with the viewing public who through a baggage of comments called on TV3 not to bring Kabila to their studio again since he is an NPP communicator posing as a neutral and misleading Ghanaians.
