Kwame A Plus has cautioned the public about con artists impersonating actress Nana Ama McBrown to defraud unsuspecting people.
On April 30, 2022, the outspoken campaigner urged Ghanaians to be wary of some unscrupulous people who had successfully created a phone number in the actress’s name.

“These criminals have managed to register a mobile money number in Nana Ama McBrown’s name and are using it to scam people.
“They have put out an advert inviting business owners to contact them for paid adverts. If you contact them, they will tell you how much they charge and ask you to send the money to this number. Dey guard,” he shared.
A Plus’s comment was supported by two screenshots of an unnamed person who had dealt with these con artists.
The screenshot suggested that the victim submit money to a phone number registered in the actress’s name.
When the victim demanded confirmation that the money was truly going to Nana Ama McBrown, the scammer retaliated by implying that she was preoccupied.
