Accra Hearts of Oak have seen a surge in performance in their last two games – winning all and producing six goals with just one conceded.
The Phobians nailed city rivals and premier league debutants, Accra Lions 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in week 26. The 21-time champions followed it up with a 3-1 victory over Dreams FC in the following week to move into top three on the log. They sit 3rd with 43 points from 27 games and will need three points at Bechem United in week 28 to remain in that position.
Head coach, Samuel Boadu is well aware of the challenge at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park and does not want to take chances. “We have a record at Bechem, that doesn’t mean we should be swollen headed. “We are going in tactically to play well and if we stick by our instruction, I believe that something different will happen over there.” Samuel Boadu told StarTimes.
Hearts of Oak, treble winners from last season, are into the semi finals of the MTN FA Cup but the league title looks far from reach as they trail rivals, Asante Kotoko by 12 points.
