Ex-Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah confirmed as player-coach at US NPSL side FC Motown

Former Ghana international and Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah has been announced as a player cum coach at United States National Premier Soccer League, NPSL side FC Morristown.

Baah, who is nearing the end of his career, will play and act as a coach for the US second tier side this season to build on his coaching badges.

Commonly known as FC Motown, the club is based in Morristown, New Jersey and was founded in 2012 and is jointly owned by Dan Karosen and Scott Kindzierski.

Baah, joins FC Motown from Shakther Karagandi in Kazakhstan where he scored two goals in 24 matches between 2020 and 2021.

He has also played for clubs in Finland as well as his native Ghana notably for Zaytuna FC and Sporting Mirren.

The 30-year old will be expected to bring his experience gained in the game over the years to bare on the FC Motown side this season.

FC Motown will open their account in the US NPSL on Saturday in an away encounter against Jackson Lions at the Donovan Catholic High School, Toms River, New Jersey.

This will be a season opener for Gideon Baah and his colleagues, and, they will look to begin the campaign on a high with a win.
