E-Levy Will Collapse Over 500,000 Jobs In Ghana- Kojo Danquah

E-levy is one of the controversial bills the Parliament of Ghana has found it difficult before making it a law. This is because most Ghanaians do not understand why and how the implementation will be after it becomes a constitution. But after all the battle on that particular bill, Parliament has finally accepted the controversial E-levy bill. Although the collection of the tax has begun but many people are still against it.

A member of the NDC Communications teams known as Kojo Danquah has release some of the side effects of the implementation of the E-levy.

According to Kojo Danquah speaking on an interview, E-levy will collapse over 500,000 jobs in the country. He continued by saying all the graduates who are finding it difficult to get a job in the country and decided to set up mobile money shops will lost their job because of the E-levy.

According to Kojo Danquah, statistical service reports indicates that Ghanaians unemployment rate is now 13.4% but previously it was 9%. Therefore instead of the President of the nation assuring the youths a better future on the May day, he was rather saying things that has no understanding. Looking Kojo Danquah’s expression, you could see that he is very disappointed in the NPP government for implementing the E-levy bill.
