It was a bad day for a group of young men suspected to be armed robbers who are in to snatching of cars at gun point in the Northern Regional Capital of Tamale and its environs.
These suspected armed robbers reportedly took away a Toyota Land cruiser from the owner at gun point in Tamale about 3 days ago.
But, unfortunately for them, announcement was made to various communities where they could use as a transit point to run away with the stolen car.
The suspected robbers were believed to be sending the stolen car to neighboring Togo could not succeed in doing so as many communities on the Karaga – Gushegu road were alerted to be on the look out for them.
Some community members from Tamalgu saw the robbers in the night trying to escape to Togo gave them a hot chase untill the robbers abondened the car and run away.
The had already changed the number plate of the car as a way of escaping arrest.
For some time now, the issue car snatching is rampant in the Tamale Metropolis and its environs.
