“We Have Reduced The Salaries Of Political Appointees By (30%) For The Rest Of Year” – Pres Akuffo

Indeed, President Akuffo Addo has taken constructive measures to help better the life of the citizens in the country. On the first day of May, the president on his page on instagram has released a couple of information about the current financial standing of the country. His loved for the development of the country has really proven to be extraordinary. The country over the years has implemented a number of constructive programs and policies to stabilize the economy of Ghana.

The e-levy has been implemented to recover the loss of GH￠13.1 billion and the country’s over expenditure of GH￠14.2 billion during the outbreak of the coronavirus. This e-levy initiative would help increase the total revenue of the country and therefore development would become possible.

Also, the President Akuufo Addo has also taken some steps to cut down the cost on some ministerial appointees in the country. The expenditure and salaries of Ministers, Departments and Agencies has been slashed by thirty percent (30%) for the rest of the year. This would therefore help to place the country at a very good standing and also attract foreign investors.

Also, expenditure fuel allocation of Ministers has also been reduced to fifty percent (50%) and a moratorium on the purchase of imported goods.
