John Mahama To Address The Nation. Check Details

Former President John Mahama will in the coming days address the nation. His address will centre on the economy which he says is at the crossroads. The NDC presidential candidate for the last two elections made this known on his Facebook post intercepted by CitizenOne.

According to the post, the lecture will be held on Monday, 2nd May 2022 at a private location. The program will be streamed live on Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms. Some television and radio stations will also pick live feed for Ghanaians to follow it.

Check an announcement of the program by Mahama below.

“Our country is, sadly, at a Crossroad, and demands that leadership listens to the people and acts appropriately. This is the surest way to success on our chosen national journey of democracy and opportunities for all. Ghana must be placed fully unto the desired road.

On Monday May 02, 2022, I will be speaking on Ghana at a Crossroad, live on Facebook John Dramani Mahama, YouTube (@johnmahamatv) Channels, across a number of national radio and television channels and on other digital platforms”

Many Ghanaians are complaining bitterly about the state of the economy. The dollar is rising so fast against the cedi, inflation is on 40 years records high and fuel prices are sky rocketing. All these are contributing to the high cost of living and reduced living standards. The last straw that is breaking the camel’s back is the implementation of the controversial E Levy.

When Dr. Bawumia was called upon to speak on the economy after a long silence, he chose to avoid the E Levy. He also refused to discuss the current state of the economy. Instead, he did average comparison analysis which practically has no effect on the state of affairs. He attempted to throw jabs at his contender, John Mahama.

Mr. Mahama will most likely use the impending opportunity to respond to some of the issues Bawumia raised.

CitizenOne shall bring followers live streaming of the lecture. You may follow me in order to receive update on this. Meanwhile, your comments to the story are as important as this article itself.
