The ‘Hot News’ making waves currently is the fact that the latest research has shown that, even some of the members of the New Patriotic Party do not believe that they can “break the eight” in the 2024 elections.
The New Patriotic Party released a slogan, break the eight ahead of the upcoming 2024 elections. It means that they are hoping to win the 2024 elections after they’ve already ruled the country for eight years. The largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress have disagreed with them.
However, least did anyone expect that true and true members of the NPP will not believe in their party breaking the eight as the latest research shows.
According to research done by Dr. Smart Sarpong, a research fellow at the Kumasi Technical University revealed that 26% of the NPP members do not believe the party will be able to break the eight. 74% of the members of the party believe they can break the eight.
The research also revealed that the 26% who don’t believe the party will break the eight is because of the chaotic scenes we’ve in their constituency and internal elections. Some also think the party will not elect the right Presidential Candidate for 2024 because of favoritism, among other reasons.
