There are Dagombas in Upper West Check where they are

With their respected costume, culture and way of life, the Dagombas migrated from the East of Lake Chad some past centuries ago for the purpose of farming and to explore the world.

Dagombas are made up of Muslims, Christians and Traditionalists. Very tough group of people I have met, but they can be simple at times, you just need to make the facts available and accessible.
