Rapper Okyeame Kwame has said Black Sherif’s Kwaku The Traveller song is doing very well and breaking frontiers because of the English Language he integrated into the song which is not a common feature of Ghanaian songs.
His assertion is clearly evidenced in the fact that Sherif became a household name with his street anthems, First and Second Sermon songs but rose astronomically with the song Kwaku The Traveller.
Statistically, the song placed number 55 on Apple ’s Top 100 songs globally and streamed a million times on Boomplay and Audiomack, and still making waves across other digital platforms which vastly hinges on the fact that he dished out his lyrics in English.
Okyeame Kwame also highlighted Black Sherif’s talent, especially his unique voice, emphasizing that been a great asset that had contributed to his quick rise.
“As an up-and-coming artiste, many people will always watch out for what he has but you can’t deny that Black Sheriff has a unique voice that sets him apart from many rappers,” he added.
In other news making rounds, a video that captured the moment former Buniton Group signee Kelvynboy was being heckled by angry students of the University of Cape Coast for giving them a short performance on their campus has started ‘floating’ online.
The students who wanted more of the artist who is unarguably one of the most sought after of the present generation saw some of the male students demanding that he gives them more doses of his goodness instead of the short show he put up and hurriedly left the stage.
Social media reports have it that Kelvynboy was billed to perform at the University of Cape Coast’s 60th-anniversary launch but it also emerged that had also been booked for an event at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
Obviously, he wanted to fulfill his contractual obligation by being at the two shows which culminated in chaos at UCC as the students refused to stomach the excuses he gave.
