China’s former ambassador to John Maham’s former government, Horace Ni Ai Ankra, urged party leaders to pause with John Maham ahead of the upcoming presidential election.

The call comes at the end of the party’s preparations for reorganization and plans for the party’s presidential primaries to elect flag bearers.

He added in his closing remarks that the Council of Elders, NEC, FEC must come together as parties to make this decision so that former President John Dramani Mahama can lead the party back to power.

He urged them to remain determined to ensure the party is in power by 2024.
